Sunday School & Pathfinders

From 4th September – 12 noon (during Church Service)

Sunday School is for all children in Primary School.

Pathfinders is for all those in Year 8 – Year 11 at Secondary School.

Please contact Linda Hopper or Helen McKenzie for more information.

Remember to pray for and encourage the teachers as they aim to bring the Bible and its teaching alive for the young people who attend.   Please pray for and encourage the young people in the Parish to attend regularly.

Philipians 4 v 6-7 teaches:  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Come along and join in a time of prayer for our Church Family, those in our local community and other prayer needs on alternate Wednesdays (starting on 7th September) at 8pm.  Everyone is welcome and not everyone has to speak their prayers as silent prayer is equally important and is respected within this group.

Please speak with Evelyn Carson or Julie Hunter if you require any further info.

Bible Study meets on alternate Tuesday mornings (10am) and Wednesday nights (8pm).

Two Bible Study groups have met during the past few months  to study more about the Beatitudes with the help of a Precept study  –  ” Turning Your Heart Toward God”.  The 6 week study is coming to an end now on Tuesday 22nd / Wednesday 23rd November but a new study has been chosen for the Spring Term.

The first study for January – March 2017 will be based upon the Jesus’ Death and Resurrection.   Books (£5)  will be available from end of November from Helen McCullough and everyone is welcome to attend either meeting.  Keep checking back for the starting date.

Keeping Kildress Church and Rectory and Grounds tidy and well maintained is an ongoing task and requires extra help throughout the year.  The Glebe Wardens – Uel and Philip would like to set up a group who could be called upon to help with this work.  Please contact either Uel or Philip to offer your help.
